Stage 1
Heat stove to 350 degrees. In a food processor, beat flour, salt, and baking powder. Add shortening, and heartbeat until blend looks like coarse feast. With machine running, continuously add between 1/2 and 3/4 cup cold water, until mixture meets up.

Move batter to a gently floured surface. Roll into a 8-by-10-inch sheet, 1/4 inch thick. Cut longwise into 1/4 vast strips.
Stage 3
Utilizing your hands, roll strips this way and that in flour so they structure cylindrical sticks. The strips will extend to around 16 when rolled. Put sticks on a baking sheet, compressing closes onto the sheet to keep them straight. Heat for 13 to 15 minutes, until firm and cooked through. Move to a wire rack to cool. Store in a water/air proof compartment.
